LeaderSims for Aspiring School Leaders

Now more than ever, schools need capable, visionary leaders to manage increasingly diverse schools in our ever-changing, ever-challenging world. School and school district leaders have extraordinary responsibilities to satisfy multiple and distinct stakeholders while constantly facing new challenges. One way to be prepared for those challenges is by incorporating the SchoolSims Simulation Library into your professional development and principal preparation programs.

Would You Like a Live Demonstration?

SchoolSims simulations provide an opportunity for aspiring school leaders to gain virtual experience dealing with situations before facing those same issues in real life. Unlike reality, where so much can be at stake, simulations allow participants to face trying situations, make decisions, and face the consequences of those decisions – all within the same session. Making a wrong decision and experiencing the outcome in a safe environment prepares leaders to make the right decision when it truly matters.

Invite 2–50 prospective leaders to these monthly gatherings and lead them through one simulation per month. The following is a list of simulations that are advised for prospective leaders:

How Much Does it Cost?

SchoolSims can be as low as $15 per person. We base our cost on the approximate number of participants in each cohort.

Who Should Use It?

SchoolSims simulations are an excellent resource for principal preparation programs and professional development for aspiring and current school leaders.

How Do I Get Trained?

SchoolSims will provide training on our simulation library, how and when to use the simulations, and a one-hour session on how to facilitate simulations with Dr. David De Jong, the Chair of Educational Leadership at the University of South Dakota.
