Subjects currently covered

The simulations cover NCEA level 2 and Cambridge International A level subjects:  physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, history, accounting, economics.

During 2009 SchoolSims worked with Auckland Grammar School and Diocesan Girls to run pilot simulation programmes. Information about pilot results can be found in the subject pages. Some significant results from the pilots were the following:

  • Out of 115 students who tried the pilot simulations 97 wanted more in their future education
  • In the different subject areas, the average increase in learning, based on improvement in pre and post test scores, ranged from 20% to 200%!
  • Majority of the students believed they gained siginificant value from the simulation and had fun playing it.
